Centrifugal roof fan with backward-curved impeller and horizontal discharge. The housing is made of weather- and UV-resistant plastic (ASA, similar to RAL7012) and serves as bird and contact protection. Base plate made of powder-coated sheet steel with deep-drawn inlet nozzle and pre-fitted threaded studs for connecting duct flanges and inlet-side accessories in accordance with DIN 24154/EN 12220. Housing can be opened for maintenance and cleaning.
The efficiency-optimised plastic impeller with backward-curved blades is mounted on the rotor of a voltage-controllable external-rotor motor. The impeller together with the motor is balanced in two planes to quality grade G 6.3 according to DIN/ISO 1940. Maintenance-free, permanently lubricated ball bearings, sealed on both sides, are used. Motor protection is provided by thermal contacts built into the winding and internally connected in series; the motor is protected against automatic restart. Electrical connection is via the cable routed out through the housing base.
