Description
pro duct silencers are used to reduce sound in air distribution systems. The silencers can be installed on all standard ventilation ducts of the corresponding nominal size. In combination with pro spiral duct systems, the silencers are suitable for ventilation systems up to airtightness class D. All pro duct silencers are designed in accordance with VDI requirements and equipped with silicone-free sealing materials.
The silencers consist of a galvanised spiral duct as the outer casing and an inner duct made of perforated sheet metal. Between the two ducts is the sound-absorbing packing made of non-hazardous mineral wool. Depending on the silencer version, this is between 25 and 100 mm thick. The mineral wool is separated from the airflow by an interlayer. The silencers are closed at both ends with metal end caps in which the duct connections are permanently integrated as male spigots with an integrated double-lip seal.
